Competition Winner

Magic competitions provide an opportunity for magicians to compete with and be judged by their peers.

Paul has only entered three of these tournaments. By a fortunate alignment of the planets and some favourable winds he won all three. These competitions were held at the London Society of Magicians one of the oldest and most respected magic clubs in the country.

Paul was winner of the close-up magic competition with an act based around the old "Three Card Monte" swindle and other gambling scams.

He also won the Bridger Lewis stage magic competition on two occasions; Firstly with a comedy cabaret act and the following year with an act based on extra sensory perception and mind reading.

Paul Says: "I'm not a naturally competetive person, although obviously it's nice to win. The competitions gave me motivation to develop specific acts and new material, in turn this experience helps me cater my magic to the event I'm working at and the particular audience I'm meeting."
